Anonymous asked: Do you believe that God punishes you for your wrong doings?
I believe that there are natural consequences to sin.
For instance, when you steal, two things happen.
First, you become a thief. Nothing on earth is worth becoming a thief to get. It blackens your heart. Cripples your effectiveness. Shatters your identity.
Secondly, a choice to do something our own way is a choice to take a step away from God. God is the creator and sustainer of all life, and so the further we get from the source, the less life-abundant there is for us to live.
One day our lives will end and we’ll be permanently stuck with the decisions we’ve made. We’re permanently be thieves that have turned our backs on our maker. It’s spiritual suicide.
Thankfully God so loved the world…
